Well,
It's time for a new post!
I have recently come across this awesome blog, http://aspecialkindofclass.blogspot.com/ by Amanda Meyers. It is a blog with activities for students with severe physical and/or speech disabilities. I find this blog so incredible because we going to have students in our classes with disabilities. Obviously, we will need to come up with some alternative activities, it is wonderful to have a resource, like this blog, for ideas!
This is the third step from her activity called "More Penguins". I love penguins, so of course I chose to show you this activity! First the class read about penguins, then filled in a can, have, are chart, and finally they filled in their penguin books with facts about penguins.
This is a nice, short activity that breaks all the steps down.
There are TONS of activities in this blog of children with disabilities. I hope you take a little time and look around her blog for more ideas!
I hope you have a wonderful week! :)
I really liked the dinosaur mold idea. Lots of cool science and art projects (with special scissors and other accommodations for the special needs kids)! Thanks for sharing that blog!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great blog! It can be really hard to think of activities for all of the different students that will be in our classes, and this is a great resource to be able to look back at :) thanks for sharing!
